As Britain’s first — and very likely last — opportunity to vote to leave the EU approaches, the CPGB-ML calls upon all workers to vote for Brexit on 23 June 2016.
In this powerful interview, CPGB-ML chairman Harpal Brar reviews the history of the EU project.
Ella Rule, vice chair of the CPGB-ML, outlines the reasons that British workers should vote to leave the EU on 23rd June 2016.
“Temporary agreements are possible between capitalists and between states … a United States of Europe is possible as an agreement between the European capitalists … but to what end? Only for the purpose of jointly suppressing socialism in Europe … under capitalism, a United States of Europe would signify an organisation of reaction.” (Our emphasis)
Failing to organise meaningful solidarity with socialist Korea
It has been brought to the attention of Red Youth, that Dermot Hudson, who goes by the email “juche007” and heads up various counter-productive projects such as the “Juche Idea Study Group of England” (JISGE) and the” Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK” (ASSPUK), has taken it upon himself, once again, to engage in uncomradely, secretive and malicious rumour-mongering about young members, candidates and supporters of the CPGB-ML (and by proxy Red Youth) with regards to our stance in defence of the DPRK, the Workers Party of Korea and the Korean revolution. What is more, this snake, sick with the knowledge of his own impotence and irrelevance, tries to undermine the warm, friendly relations which exist between young supporters and members of the CPGB-ML and our Korean comrades. Junior Doctor and CPGB-ML member Ranjeet speaks about the Junior Doctors Strikes in the context of the wider attacks on the NHS, following the May Day march from Clerkenwell Green to Trafalgar Square on 1 May 2016.
The plan to cut pay of medical staff, nursing staff, and all NHS workers, has not come out of the blue, he says, but is part of an ongoing plan to gut the NHS, and introduce an insurance based system that will make enormous profits for massive Health Corporations – United Health, Serco, Circle, Virgin (now the UK’s largest GP practice, ‘holding health contracts’ on some 3 million British citizens), McKinsey, Sodexo, Bupa, and a panoply of others – at the expense of rationed and substandard care, increasingly accessible only to those who supplement a basic level of provision by private insurance – which will become prohibitively expensive as the NHS is hamstrung and run down.
You may have seen our video addressing – and exposing as completely baseless – the ridiculous nature of the patronising, contemptuous and racist Propaganda peddled in the West as ‘objective criticism’ of the communist leadership and people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea?
If not, then take another look. In fact, even if you have seen it, take another look – frankly the flimsy but insidious propaganda is so all-pervasive that it will do no harm to have a small dose of truth.
The video has already been aired on the party’s YouTube channel – Proletarian TV (subscribe if you haven’t already), and was the subject of a previous blog.
We have now had had very positive feedback from the North Korean Embassy, who have told our party comrades that they liked it so much that they also shared the video with senior members of the Workers Party of Korea in Pyongyang. Continue reading “North Koreans endorse Red Youth Video!”→
On Mayday 2016 the CPGB-ML is proud to send a message of international solidarity to workers of all countries struggling against capitalist imperialism, and to stand with Palestine!
Meanwhile Corbyn, and the isolated leadership of Labour find themselves in fierce ideological combat, both inside of their party and with the wider media and political establishment. The Labour Party leadership is being bullied by the Zionist Lobby and the imperialist establishment into expressly giving up any support of Palestine and mouthing support for Israel.
Red Youth and the CPGB-ML once again took to the streets this 1 May to celebrate International Workers’ Day, marking the past heroic struggles of the working classes of the world and promoting the only viable future for humanity – communism!
Jeremy Corbyn addressed the crowd at Clerkenwell – the first Labour leader to do so in 50 years – apparently solely to address the media furore around perceived anti-semitism within the Labour party which has seen Naz Shah MP and Ken Livingstone suspended. Desperate to preserve their electability not a single mention of the genocide of Palestinians was to be heard.
Police break up the demonstration in Parliament Square
Last weekend saw spontenous demonstrations outside Downing Street and the Grand Connaught Rooms, where Cameron was apologising to the Tory party, attracting several thousand before being broken up by police. These demonstrations came in the wake of revelations that the ruling class (including Cameron) have been – shockingly! – routinely engaged in avoiding paying taxes on their assets. The leak, dubbed the Panama Papers, reveals connections between major banks, heads of state, and government officials the world over with tax avoidance vehicles and shell companies.
Dr Ranjeet Brar speaks at the Balham (Lambeth and SW London) meeting of Keep our NHS Public on the eve of the 6-7 April junior doctors strike.
The meeting was well attended and spirited with lively Q&A sessions from the floor, and contributions from Dr Youssef El-Gingihy, East End GP and author of the influential book ‘How to Dismantle the NHS in Ten Easy Steps’ and John Lister, Health journalist and co-founder of Health Campaigns ‘Together’ and ‘Keep our NHS Public’. We will put these contributions up shortly. Continue reading “Junior Doctors’ Strikes – Keep our NHS Public!”→
In this revealing video, Jeremy Corbyn and Sadiq Khan refuse to comment on their approval of a plan announced by Tory Lord Kerslake, and put together by Savills Estate agents and a variety of private business interests (with ‘input’ from housing charities, mind you), to “Solve London’s housing problem” by building 350,000 new homes in the capital.
Sound good? Well, the devil is in the detail! You see all of the homes will be built by private developers. Most of the land will be ‘released’ by councils, who plan to demolish libraries, community facilities – and notably inner city council estates currently housing 400,000 working-class families, which they describe as “past their use-by date.”
So this eminently capitalist ‘housing solution’ will in fact bring an overall decrease in the absolute number of homes, with a massive transfer of wealth from our councils to developers, while maintaining inflated property prices, and socially cleansing our capital city to boot. A royal flush for the developers and financiers!
